"Hello Elios - Warming Suns of Chicago's Greektown" Art Exhibit - Chicago
Chicago's renowned Greektown community welcomes visitors to experience "Hello Elios, The Warming Suns of Chicago's Greektown," an outdoor display of colorful artwork celebrating the wonder and power of the sun.
The impressive collection of 24 sculpture pieces was painted by local Chicago artists that were inspired by Greek mythology and other world cultures including Aztec, Yoruba, Native American, Japanese and others.
Creations were also provided by regional Greek schools including Koraes Elementary School (Palos Hills), Plato Academy (Des Plaines), Pythagoras Greek School (St Demetrios of Elmhurst), St George Greek School of Chicago, Pythagoras Greek School of St John The Baptist (Des Plaines) and St Demetrios Solon Greek School in Chicago.
The exhibit will be on display through spring 2022 along Halsted Street in Chicago's Greektown between Madison Street and Van Buren, ending just adjacent to the National Hellenic Museum. Viewing is free for all guests. While in Greektown, enjoy quality Greek cuisine at any of the fine long standing restaurants on Halsted.
