St. Sophia Greek Festival in Elgin - 2019

St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church in Elgin celebrated the 40th anniversary of its acclaimed Greek Fest with authentic food, pastries, music, dancing, fun for the kids and Market Place shopping.

Visitors enjoyed Greek food specialties including Souvlaki, Gyros, Pastichio, Moussaka, Greek Salad, Calamari, Greek Chicken and flaming Saganaki (OPA)! Pastries included Baklava, Kourambiedes, Diples and St. Sophia's famous Loukoumades (deep-fried batter puffs drizzled with cinnamon and honey).

Live entertainment featured Dueling Pianos (Fri night), and DJ Bobby Styles and Alpha Tunes (Sat & Sun). The Agape Dance Troupe also entertained guests with Greek style dance performances.
