St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church - Palos Heights

St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church in Palos Heights has a rich history dating back to 1917 when a dedicated group of settlers in Chicago's pullman community established this new spiritual community.

The church is named after Spyridon, one of the fathers of orthodoxy and great defender of Corfu who was also present at the first Ecumenical council in Nicaea. By inspired direction and divine grace which dwelt within, Spyridon tended his flocks piously, serving the Lord faithfully and developing roots for his church's namesake.
